Maybe Hollywood & Vine

Maybe it was the princess castle, or the wizard’s wands... but I truly think these friends of mine brought the magic to Los Angeles during our 4 day reunion.

While I’m partial to the South, LA has the amazing ability to change in an instant. From Hollywood to Anaheim, these three amigos packed our bags & had a new experience every single day of our trip.

  1. Santa Monica
We independent ladies spent our Independence Day working on our tans in the sand. I drank a little too much Rosé, fell asleep on the beach, & ate a veggie burger. We let freedom ring, while our work phones stayed on silent.

  1. Disneyland
19,572. That’s how many steps my Apple Watch logged in one single day. I had more than a few blisters, but it was fine because I was in my happy place darn it. I bought millennial pink Minnie ears & walked down the iconic Main Street like the princess I know I am. The weather was great, the rides were thrilling, & my friends were by my side. The only thing that would make the day better is if Peter Pan finally found me & said 23 isn’t too old for Neverland.

  1. Warner Brothers Studios
Okay y’all. The other Shelby & I both shockingly agreed this was the best day of the trip. We all woke up with a Disney hangover & found the first tour on google that started after 2 pm. It just so happened to be at Warner Brothers Studios. We expected to see a few sets from Gilmore girls & Friends. What we didn’t expect was everything else. Employees put us and a dozen other tourists onto a giant golf cart, then they immediately start pointing out where our favorite scenes were shot. Did you know Phoebe’s iconic run through Central Park was shot in a sliver of grass between the PLL school & a rando building used in Shameless? Now you do. They let us on the Big Bang Theory set & let us roam Ellen’s studio. & SURPRISE! The two Shelbys freaked out when we saw a ton of Harry Potter memorabilia was shipped across the pond for our viewing pleasure. Also, it was 101 degrees, & I bought a scarf. Dry heat is nothing to this Hufflepuff.

I brought a ton of souvenirs home, but the best thing I brought with me was the realization of how blessed I am. Alex let us stay in her fabulous apartment the entire trip & was such a great tour guide to the city. Shelby did her research & touristed hard with me. We all made memories that will last a lifetime, & I truly hope this post will inspire a group of girlfriends to get out & visit each other! It's not where you go, it's who you're with.
